AYdate Ideas : Singapore Night Festival 2015

Last weekend saw us roaming around Bras Basah area at night for the annual Singapore Night Festival. Yat and I have been to last year's and we were impressed by last year's installation that we were actually looking forward for this year's!

This was from last year's Singapore Night Festival and when we were still keeping each other as a secret, thus the picture.

This year, we went with this jokers :

Shanis and Dan could not join us this time. So instead of a triple threat, we only got a double trouble hahahahahahahahahaha.

Anywayyy, we had our dinner at 4Fingers at Dhoby Ghaut and let me just get this out of my system; Nene Chicken is still the best fried chicken in Singapore at the moment although I am very, very disappointed when they discontinued Snowing Cheese and replaced it with the nacho cheese dip (with additional charge too omg). There are no amount of words that could possibly reflect my grief but I hope Nene Chicken would come back to its senses and let Snowing Cheese be the reason why we are all smiling again in this world. #firstworldproblem

After which, we headed over to Koi for some Ovaltine drink before heading over to House of Glamour that is located at Cathay Green for Kumar's Show at 8.30PM.

Tickets stated the show is from 8.30-9.15PM so that was about 45mins. But realistically, the stand up comedy was really just about 20 minutes. Kumar came on stage about 8.45, spent 5 minutes with his opening dance and he went off the stage at 9.10 so really it was really just about 20 minutes. Made me feel that going down to Hard Rock Cafe on Monday nights were more worth it but it is okay! The three of them have never seen him live before so it would have been a great experience for them though Syahmir felt that it was mostly recycled jokes. I really want to catch Russell Peters and Kevin Hart's shows in the future.

After which, we walked down to Singapore National Museum for The Anooki. I truly enjoyed myself with this animated piece hehe.

Moving on to Singapore Art Museum...

Then we went to this one room and got stuck there for a good 30 minutes trying to make a crown. You will have to make a donation of about $2 to do this.

Somehow or another, Syahmir ended up making a birthday cake instead of a crown...

By the time we were done with it, it was already past midnight and Nini & Syahmir had to go home.

It was a really good day. We did not spend much or go to expensive places but we had fun. I believe it is truly the company that makes your day better. Thank you Nini and Syahmir for joining us! Shanis and Dan needs to join us next year!

Anyway guys, if you are out on a date or have nothing to do this coming Friday or Saturday, you can make your way to Singapore Night Festival. Last night will be on Saturday, 29 August 2015. More details can be found on www.nightfest.sg

Till the next post!
