TripleThreat : Picnic Edition

I do not think I have ever introduce Triple Threat in my blog before.

Today will be my first.
Yat, myself, Shanis, Dan, Syahmir and Nini.
Triple Threat pretty much consist of 3 couples. Mainly Yat and myself, with two of his close buddies and their partner. I first met Nini and Syahmir last year, for a random trip to JB. At that time, Shanis & Dan were not available, thus it was just a double date. The first time I met Shanis and Dan was sometime last year too, a few months after dating Yat, because Yat wanted to keep me a secret from his friends until he ORD.

(which pretty much explains why pictures before November 2014 were of half bodies and/or back view of Yat on my Instagram)

Anyway, it was a really healthy friendship that I really appreciate and I am really glad that Yat let me be a part of this. Yat is someone who is really private and do not really open up much to people. He is undoubtedly easy going and very fun to be with, but he was very hesitant to open up and tell me about himself at first. 1 year and a few months later, I am really glad we are past the first year hoops (because I always feel the 6 months after the supposed 3 months honeymoon period is the most trying times for a couple. You either get past it or you break it.) and I cannot wait till we get past our second/third year hoops (which is mainly the comfort stage, where we are so comfortable with each other, we do really disgusting things in front of each other that one day when one of us realized it, we either love those things about them or we kind of got disgusted by it and we think it is better to find ourselves again) lol.

Anyway, we have always been meaning to have a picnic but somehow or another, we never really got to it. Every time we plan for it, it does not really happen, or we ended up doing something else, because the boys are either uninterested or they saw something else better they want to do during our meet up.

BUT THIS TIME WE DID IT!!!
Featuring Syahmir with his Yoga pose.

We found a really sweet spot in East Coast Park, over at the F2 Carpark. We were supposed to meet at Big Splash at 11.30 on a Sunday morning, but it was a really wet and gloomy Sunday that almost everyone really got out of bed at 12 or for Syahmir it was probably 2pm. By the time Yat and I reached ECP, Dan was only fetching Syahmir before he heads over to fetch Shanis. Nini was supposed to meet us at the venue straight from a wedding she attended.

When we were at Big Splash, there was a sudden downpour so we waited, and then head over to the other side of ECP because we could not find a spot where there will be shelter. Almost every other sheltered hut in ECP was filled with people sheltering themselves from the rain.

When we reached Carpark F2, the sky was slowly clearing up, although there were some drizzle. It was raining really heavily at Big Splash but it seems like the other side of ECP was not affected. Dan thought we were kidding about the rain. (You can see that in his video below)
You can see how gloomy the skies were, but it seems pretty okay for us that we settled at the grass patch with a really beautiful background for photos and a large playing field for a game of frisbee.
We brought way too much food and wayyyyyy too many chickens for a picnic.

Also, adding on to our pool of talents in the group is definitely Dan's video editing skills. He VLOGS and he vlogs really often, so if you have nothing better to do, you can check out his YouTube page and don't forget to like and subscribe. Mostly because I can foresee more stupid videos on his page in the near future, seeing how we are already contributing to his list of stupid video challenges to do.

DAN'S YOUTUBE PAGE!

Here is one of his video on our picnic. You can check out his page for our other outings before this, especially the one on Yat & Mir's 23rd Birthday Bash that happened last year or if you want something recent, then you can check out the one we went to East Coast Park on a random day doing random things like cycle on the Quadracycle(?) and also managed to go all over Singapore in one day.
I am not sure if you will be as entertained as I am watching his video on our stupid antics, but if you do, do not forget to like it. Hehe.

Here is my favourite photo from the picnic to end my blog post.

 Till my next post!

Selamat Berpuasa to all my Muslim readers! :)
