Our First Concert

A few weeks ago, The Script came to Singapore for their second time. Yat was telling me how he was looking forward to them and wants to watch them live because unlike me, he is a concert fan. I do not really fancy going to a concert, because I do not really enjoy them I guess? I went to a Paramore concert once, because my sister had an extra ticket courtesy of her company, so she asked me along. Thank god we got the sitting area because I really do not like concert, and apparently so did my sister. HAHAHA.

We ended up being the only two people who were busy browsing our phones and the ONLY two people sitting down from what I can see. Everyone around us were busy jumping up and down and singing to their songs, knowing the lyrics by heart. HAHAHA. I always wondered why did we not just sell those tickets and make a profit.

Anyway, because Yat has been incredibly amazing to me, I decided to purchase the tickets right there and then when he was busy yapping away about going to the concert. I even purchased the Standing Pen A tickets for the both of us. BOTH OF US. I do not know why I put myself up for this; maybe it is love or maybe I am just out of my mind for thinking I can last through a 2 hour concert standing up and you know, just sing.

I have a history of slip disc, 2 years ago. My slip disc gave me sciatica previously. In layman terms, I cannot really stand for a long period of time or else it will give me a whole lot of pain. The pain has gradually subsided, I can now stand for a longer period of time than I used to 2 years ago. I can feel my toes moving when I move them and I no longer really experience a nerve pain throughout my right leg up to my lower back. In short, standing for a long period of time is not really ideal for me.

But I did it.

I actually stayed throughout the whole concert, and for those who attended the concert, you would know that the concert got delayed for about an hour or so because of some technical glitch. So that made it about 3-4 hours of standing (considering we had to queue up to get into the stadium). And I did not even complain about how my back was breaking. Lol.

So anyway, I did not really take a picture of The Script while they were performing because I was busy enjoying the LIVE concert infront of me and not watching it through my iPhone screen like some people in front of me did. The entire concert there are people literally watching the band perform through their freaking phone screen and it pissed me off so bad because I was thinking, if you wanna watch it through that tiny screen instead of you know, WATCHING THEM PERFORM RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU, you might as well go to Youtube.com and watch them perform through someone else's recording!!!

You putting that phone of yours up there blocks my view, excuse me, so I hope you forgive me for shoving you throughout the whole concert.

And don't you just hate it when there are people who attends a concert, actually got a standing pen ticket, BUT HATES IT WHEN THEY GOT PUSHED OR SHOVED OR WHEN SOMEONE IS INVADING IN THEIR PERSONAL SPACE???

I mean dude, come on, I hate it too, but you don't see me tsk-ing at your face or staring at you when other people pushed you to me. You cannot stand the crowd, then please, make your way to the exit, take a cab and go back home... or you know, fly back home.

Annoying.

Luckily, Yat enjoyed the concert (more than I did anyway hahahahahha), but because there were some unforeseen circumstances, we did not really manage to enjoy the concert thoroughly. Heh.

To make it up, I actually bought us another concert tickets to Imagine Dragon this August and hope I can erase his tiny bad experience going to a concert with me HAHAHAHA. :P

Girls, eh?
Such confusing bunch.
